Rotaract District 3131

Rotaract District at is a non-profit organization striving to bring a change in the world by working in various distinctive standing committees along with Rotary International District 3131 (referred to as RID 3131) it functions directly under the guidance of Rotary international.

Rotaract District 3131 emerged at the beginning of Rotary International Year (abbreviated as RIY) 2008-09 when RID 3130 was bifurcated into two separate districts. Upon the formation of district, the Rotary and Rotaract organization was given the charge of areas under of Raigad and Pune districts.

Rotaractors belong to an age group of above 18 years (no age limit) and primarily work in the standing committees of Professional Development Club Service International Services, Community Service, Foundation and Finance Services Presently, there are 140+ Rotaract clubs functioning cooperatively in RID 3131.

Rotaractors believe in relishing the work in which they invest their time. We Rotaractors of RID 3131 want to contribute to this world and make it a sustainable place to live for the upcoming generations.

With a phenomenal history in the above-stood avenues and a vast network, we Rotaractors want to make a statement out them through our Rotaract Movement by Excelling and Growing Through Opportunities Together.

About Rotaract

Rotaract is an international organization for youth age 18 to 30 years, who believe they can make a difference. The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in professional development, address the physical and social needs of communities and promote better relations amongst all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

Rotaract was founded by Rotary International when the Rotaract Club of the University of North Carolina was chartered on 13th March 1968 in North Carolina. Today Rotaract continues to experience phenomenal growth. There are more than 10,719 active Rotaract Clubs spread over 511 districts worldwide, with an estimated membership of more than 2,03,720 Rotaractors. The program continues to grow to make it a truly global movement with the motto of “Self-development through Service and Fellowship.”

Rotaract came to India in 1968 with Rotaract Club of Secunderabad being chartered on 2nd April 1968. Rotaract Club of Ambarnath became the first club to be chartered in R. I. District 3140 (then RID 314) on August 6, 1968. The district since then has grown leaps and bounds and was divided into R. I. District 3141 and 3142 as per geographical divisions and vastness in the year 2016-17. Rtr. Rohan Dalmia was the first DRR of R. I. District 3141, Rotaract Mumbai, and is one of the most active youth movements in and around South East Asia. We have been actively involved in promoting Rotary International’s ideals of fellowship.
